I'm a director, producer and series producer with a long track record in Specialist Factual, in particular arts, history and travel. I’ve made films and series for diverse audiences, from primetime ratings winners to critically successful essays. I've directed biographical profiles, made films exploring national histories and identities through art, and contributed to landmark shows such as 'Civilisations' and 'Art That Made Us'. My work includes three series examining human-animal relationships, five series exploring life on remote islands, and a high profile ITV1 climate change film for COP26. I’ve collaborated with a wide range of presenters, from experts to well-known personalities including Martin Clunes, Joanna Lumley, Andrew Graham-Dixon, David Olusoga, Simon Schama, Dan Cruickshank, Ian Hislop, Clare Balding and Fiona Bruce. A career highlight was negotiating exclusive access to film the Queen in private for a one-off biographical special. I’ve also crafted numerous presenterless films covering histories, biographies and thought-provoking polemical essays. Regardless of the audience I am committed to producing factual films that are compelling and insightful; rich in content, visually innovative, and above all grounded in great storytelling.
