The Hong Kong Golf Club celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2014. HKGC has three 18 hole courses in Fanling in the New Territories and a 9 hole course in Deep Water Bay on Hong Kong Island with clubhouses in both locations. HKGC has hosted the European and Asian Tour and Hong Kong Golf Association sanctioned Hong Kong Open for 56 consecutive years (the oldest international sporting event in Hong Kong).
Opening General Manager of Nicklaus Club-Beijing; the first club outside of the US that is fully managed by the Nicklaus Companies. NCB is an exclusive private club with an 18-hole Nicklaus Signature golf course and a full service clubhouse. The club is located in Shunyi District in between Beijing CBD and Beijing International Airport.
IMG Golf Course Services (www.imggolfcourseservices.com) provides fully integrated services to a range of clients in all areas of golf and leisure development. Based in IMG’s Singapore office I provide pre-opening technical services and operations support for 14 high-end private golf clubs and golfing resorts in China, Indonesia and Mauritius.
Opening General Manager with full P&L responsibility for an IMG Managed private golf club and golfing resort. Hidden Tiger Golf Club (www.hiddentigergolf.com) is a Gary Player Signature designed championship golf course located in one of China’s most scenic locations adjacent to Mount Huangshan (a UNESCO World Heritage site) and Lake Taiping. The Club opened in October 2010 with a 15,000 square foot clubhouse and facilities that include a state-of-the-art ‘IMG Golf School’. A 100 room Chedi branded luxury resort hotel and 45 residential villas are slated for development in the coming year. Founder Membership sales were launched at US$ 100,000 each. The Club garnered 5 awards in its first year of operations including Golf Digest’s ‘Best New Golf Club in China’ award.
