As one of the largest airports in Europe, Schiphol offers travelers, visitors, employees and employers all the facilities and services they need, 24/7. BAM helps the organization in its efforts to achieve this by ensuring that the infrastructure and facilities are available as the main contractor. BAM Bouw en Techniek Schiphol is the asset manager at Schiphol: not purely an executive contractor, but involved in advice, design and maintenance strategy. A shared responsibility for maintenance and management, allowing Schiphol to concentrate on management and strategy.
Berghaus Plaza dates from 1964 and is currently being completely demolished, after which it will be partially rebuilt in the original style from September and renamed Berghaus. The former office building will be redeveloped into a total concept of living, working and living, which will be completed in January 2025. Two residential towers on top of the new sustainable building create space for 600 new homes, while a 3rd tower provides 21,000 square meters of office space. 2,500 square meters of commercial facilities will be added in the plinth of the new building. The new Berghaus is part of a larger plan, just like the adjacent buildings Modrôme, OKU House and OKU Office. IN THE HEART OF THE FASION DISTRICT Three towers will be built on Koningin Wilhelminaplein in Amsterdam in mid-Q4 2024, one of which will have 10 floors for office space. The other 2 towers are 11 or 12 storeys and will have a residential function. 288 rental apartments will be built here. Retail, a restaurant, a bicycle shed and a parking basement suitable for 150 parking spaces will also be realized in the plinth. WORKING AND LIVING CONCEPT The combination of living, working and relaxing in the restaurants and bars creates a new lively center. The BREEAM Excellent ambition aims to create a healthy working and living environment.
