Worked on teaching app (check us out at seekai.app!) up until now. Something new and exciting coming.
• Assisted in the development and testing of live wake-word detection on embedded platforms using convolutional neural networks • Implemented real-time MFCC-based feature extraction using hardware-optimised DSP (increased efficiency by over 30%); replicating python_speech_feature's MFCC functionality to ensure uniformity between the processing of training data (with python) and actual application data (on ESP32) • Trained and quantised TFLite model; developed/benchmarked multitasking FreeRTOS application to execute model inference and appropriate callback functionality
Tutored high school and college students in the local international/expatriate community, in the following areas (and at their respective levels): Computer Science (up to Data Structures & Algorithms) Mathematics (up to Single-Variable Differential/Integral Calculus) Physics (up to Calculus-based Mechanics/Electricity & Magnetism) Chemistry (up to General Chemistry I & II) Biology (up to IB/College Biology) • Met with students one-on-one both in-person and remotely to go over problems and review content • Devised syllabi and content schedules to aid students in learning new topics and revising for exams • Provided asynchronous feedback on written work and answered queries pertaining to course material outside of working hours
Used Flutter to build cross-platform mobile apps for an individual contractor according to provided specifications • Translated visual layout graphics into corresponding user interfaces • Architected high-level software design patterns to maximise maintainability and scaleability in a codebase of over 10,000 lines of code • Worked in local database design and management, server-client routing, and asynchronous processes in OS-level interfacing with hardware drivers • Worked in a team of 5 developers and designers with weekly stand-ups to ensure continuous and timely delivery of features
