- Facilitate work readiness classes using the essential skills curriculum during the 7-week bridge program, 3 times per calendar year ensuring students complete the training and develop competency in resumes and materials to access employment - Collaborate with staff to address program adjustments, case management, and provide ongoing support to students - Ensure database information in DYCD’s Participant Tracking System such as client information, casenotes and attendance are maintained
-Oversee a team of 3 to ensure that adequate and quality services is being conducted with the clients and aid in challenges presented through conducting monthly check-ins - Monitor systems/ platforms weekly used to ensure team tasks are completed and documented - Assist in onboarding & offboarding of clients, monitor team & clients time, and send & review quarterly assessments
-Coached 15 foster care youth in achieving their academic, career, and life goals by providing monthly 1:1 educational advocacy services through a trauma informed approach - Participated and engaged in outgoing professional development trainings regarding policies & procedures within the NYC Department of Education & ACS, College Access, College Success, youth development & engagement - Recorded data & progress notes and monitored academic progress and attendance of youth to ensure successful completion of academic goals - Planned and implemented bi-monthly academic, post-secondary and career workshops, events, and trips to increase student engagement within the program
- Developed and built trusting relationships with 15 youth in foster care in grades 6-9 - Conducted weekly one on one in-home tutoring sessions to improve academic outcomes and advance skills in targeted subjects through a strength- based approach and goal setting - Coordinated with Middle School Specialist to advocate and provide academic resources for students - Tracked and imputed data regarding students’ progress using Excel sheets
