Doctor of Pharmacy from UIC College of Pharmacy, with a B.A in Molecular and Cell Biology in UC Berkeley. I have a dedication to help others in medical need, especially those of underrepresented communities, such as the Asian American communities of the Bay Area and Chicago. To this end, I have volunteered in hospitals and health fairs to raise awareness of disproportionate diseases such as Hepatitis B and have translated/spoke with patients directly about their medical needs throughout my undergraduate and professional career. Furthermore, I am highly involved in genomics and natural products chemistry research, where I have researched cyanobacteria for drug discovery in UIC, led antibiotic experiments, and have induced seizures to drosophila in UC Berkeley. Thus, I have a high interest in these two fields and am currently looking for positions in the pharmaceutical and medical research industry.
