My schooling focused heavily on the application of occupational safety standards and health practices. Since completing my Bachelor’s in 2018, I’ve obtained numerous post-bachelor certifications such as my GSP, ASP, OSHA 500, and more. I continue to pursue additional knowledge and certifications, including my CSP that I obtained in January 2025. With my previous employer, I served as their Southwest Regional Safety Manager. This contractor is a commercial drywall company that performs many facets of work, including drywall, plaster, paint, prefab panel systems, steel framing, acoustics, fireproofing and more. Withlocations in California, Arizona, Montana, Minnesota, and more. As their SW Safety Manager, I conduct all job site training, safety orientations, JHA’s, THA’s, SSSP’s, accident investigation/prevention, root cause analysis, competency training and more. I manage all Southwest claims and work closely with our Worker’s Compensation company on keeping worker comp dollars down. I perform company training/certifying on MEWP’s, rough terrain forklifts, warehouse forklifts, powder actuated tools, class 2 & 3 lasers, fit testing, lead, asbestos, silica handling and more. I travel to sites from California to Florida, covering jobs with some of the largest general contractors in the country, such as McCarthy, Hensel Phelps, JE Dunn, Okland, and more. I work directly with their safety teams to ensure compliance and safety success on our projects. I work closely with federal and state OSHA, DOT, and other government branches, conducting voluntary compliance inspections with them on all major jobsites. I represent safety proudly, truly showing its importance as the pinnacle of operational success. I am an open-minded and creative individual. I have a variety of experience, ranging from 5-6 years; however, what I lack in experience I make up for in motivation, dedication, and eagerness to learn/prove myself. Hard work and setting goals are the key to success and throughout my life I have been shown this by example. I am responsible, collaborative, independent and a natural leader.
