- Perform bench scale fermentation experiments from seed flask preparation, 1.5L TJX reactors operation, to harvest. - Perform bench scale downstream processes including spray drying and tangential flow filtration. - Perform protein assays, enzyme assays, and gel electrophoresis to analyze products.
- Assist in fermentation projects from seed flasks, pilot fermentation through harvest and spray drying. - Facilitate student training on lab and pilot scale equipment.
- Hands-on experience with bacteria and filamentous fungal fermentations in Eppendorf bench top fermentors (2L & 10L) and pilot scale fermentors (150L & 1,000L). - New product realization and scale up, troubleshoot equipment, analyze and present data to stakeholders. - Write SOPs, train new employee, mentor interns. - Coordinated projects with the R&D, production, QC, IT, and vendors to increase efficiency in operations.
