- Provide leadership to bipolar business unit (team of 73), including production and process engineering team. Motivating team to achieve business objectives - Member of the Site Leadership Team, supporting Managing Director’s vision and strategy - Establish KPIs for the bipolar team, support the team with the resource needed to achieve targets - Establish performance monitoring report / dashboard from different databases - Identify and address problems and opportunities for continuous improvement - Oversees Bipolar production planning and ensure OTD is achieved - Support customer enquiries and oversee engineering reports for returned products
- Provide leadership to QA department (team of 4) and motivate team to achieve business objectives. - Establish KPIs for the QA team. - Provide monthly QA report to Site Leadership Team with the company’s quality performance overview, including ISO Audits, Customer Concerns, Supplier Quality, MRB Management and Document Control. - Guide the development of new supplier quality assurance function in QA department. - Build IGBT wafer fab process model with the bottleneck analysis and throughput estimation tool for continuous improvement in capacity and product quality. - Support design quality improvement. Ensure requirements are achieved and design documents are controlled in a structural manor through design reviews. - Lead the formal release of IGBT module qualification matrix and read-across practice. - Drive business procedure simplification and implementation into ERP system.
The Power Electronics Engineer is responsible for Development of next-generation MW-scale drives for marine, industrial and renewable energy applications. His roles and responsibilities include: Electrical, mechanical and thermal design of power electronics components; development of drive control firmware on Industrial PC and FPGA platforms; design of drive control hardware (PCBs); lab test of low-voltage and medium-voltage drives; verification and validation; design for Manufacture (DFM); liaising with customers, suppliers and manufacturing; developing and exploiting Intellectual Property; site work as and when required by the project; use of industry-standard design tools; software development in C and VHDL.
