Linda Ni holds dual qualifications as a solicitor in both E&W and Taiwan. She has 5-6 years of PQE under the Taiwan bar qualification. She joins the Corporate and Commercial team at a city law firm in London. She is fluent in three languages - English, Mandarin and Taiwanese. Linda focuses on cross-border investments, share purchase deals, M&A, and corporate compliance matters. Linda represents promising start-up companies, venture capital firms and investors in investment deals. • Assisting clients from Japan, China, Taiwan and South Korea in establishing businesses in the UK and facilitating their corporate, commercial, compliance and dispute needs across the oil, gas, tech, banking, timber, shipping, telecom industries. • Advising on procedures for company setup and closure, including preparing applications for the UK company/establishment setup, ROE, strike-off, liquidation, PSC investigations and changes in registrations. • Drafting legal opinions on GDPR, Modern Slavery Act, IP protection and exhaustion and cross-border enforcement. • Drafting commercial contracts including investment, consultancy, service, SaaS, settlement agreements, data privacy policy, privacy notice, bank website terms of use, declaration of trust and retirement of trustees. • Forming foundation charity, liaising with the Charity Commission and Financial Ombudsman Service, and managing M&A.
