    The role of Duty Manager is critical to the success of the operation. Reporting to the General Manager, this role works on a 5 day shift system and has responsibility for the overall smooth operations of the club. Key Accountabilities and responsibilities: 1. To be the principle contact for all Members and ensure that the member’s experience is “second to none”. To deal with any complaints or grievances. 2.Carry out visual building inspections to ensure that the presentation of the building both internally and externally meets the very highest standards. 3.Administer an effective routine problem and fault-handling system for the Club, and ensure priority faults are dealt with immediately by the Facilities staff. 4.To be responsible for the security of the building whilst on duty and respond to emergency calls when off duty. 5.Ensure each department has the appropriate complement of roistered staff, and be responsible for the co-ordination of reactive shift cover for the club whilst on duty. 6.To be responsible for and co-ordinate the safe evacuation of all Members of the public and employees as per the club’s emergency procedures. 7.Administer first aid as required and complete all incident and accident reports accordingly. 8.To open and close the club in accordance with the published hours and ensure that the service is provided in a helpful and friendly manner. 9.Represent club at meetings as and when required. 10.Have an active “hands on” approach in response to peak times and high volumes of Members across the club. 11.To be fully aware and adhere to the Club’s Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Procedures. 12.To ensure that the club and surrounding area and all activities which take place are maintained and carried out in a safe condition in compliance with current Health & Safety legislation. 14.To ensure that Bylaws and other policies are implemented and adhered to. 15. To undertake any other duties as directed.
