Digital IT
The Rt. Hon. Craig Whittaker, Former MP for Calder Valley Executive Officer in a busy constituency office working with a team of 7 covering a wide spectrum of both office and digital administration. Enabling development and implementation of the Members' communication strategies, including public relations, marketing, and content design, in line with the Member’s vision. Managing and maintaining all social media channels, adapting and improving them in line with external trends and needs. Producing press releases, liaising with the media, constituents, lobbyists, and monitoring coverage of local/ national news. Creating and monitoring of digital communications (websites, media, email campaigns, e-newsletters, etc.). Utilising software such as Canva, Adobe for design and MailChimp, Trello for Email Marketing & Organisation. Maintaining working relationships with key industry stakeholders, i.e. Local Authority Leaders, Public Sector, Charities, Politicians, etc. Risk assessing and completing up to 50 constituent casework enquiries (e.g. social security, asylum & immigration, local policing - pre-legal issues, local government, transport, commercial and business-related issues), handling from initial contact to resolution. Managing and delegating the team casework resources via a CRM to meet the needs of a fast-paced, dynamic, and often unpredictable industry. Diary Management, arranging bi-weekly constituency surgeries for the MP. Executive support to the MP, organising a dynamic and busy office, setting SLAs and ensuring deadlines are met. Organising and running large events: Older Persons Fair, Virtual A-Z Careers Fair, Skills Fair - with attendances of over 1000+. Ensuring that all communication meets the standards laid out by the Member for branding, tone of voice, factuality and confidentiality.
Supported customers with technical expert advice on tech products including TVs, audio systems and smart devices. Delivered tailored recommendations, kept up to date with the latest digital trends and helped drive sales through customer service and product knowledge.
