I am currently studying MSc Economics at the University of Warwick this September, building on a strong foundation from my undergraduate studies at the University of Leeds. Upon completion of my master's degree, I am eager to apply my passion for economics to real-life issues with tangible worthwhile impact. I have strong quantitative skills, as demonstrated by achieving the highest grade in my Applied Econometrics module. Additionally, at the University of Leeds I received strong pluralist teaching and complemented my economic studies with sociology and business modules. This ensures my analysis is grounded in a wider comprehension essential for engaging with complex problems. My academic aptitude is complemented by my practical experience as a student analyst at the Department of Health and Social Care. My strong communication skills allowed me to summarise data analysis into concise notes which informed ministers and colleagues. I enjoyed improving my Excel and coding skills as I created four automated Excel dashboards and undertook projects in R, manipulating and displaying data in accessible diagrams. I am also a strong team player with a passion for sport. I have been a dedicated member of multiple university and school sports teams and undertook a leadership role as Sponsorship Secretary for Leeds University Women’s Rugby Union. Through proactive outreach and persuasive negotiation, I promoted the club and successfully procured £2800 in sponsorship, double the previous year’s total!
