Melissa, Texas, United States
As a CEO, I have led technology companies through virtually every lifecycle stage, from startup to PE-backed, IPO, public company, and even transition from public to private ownership. I have been formally recognized as an industry leader and technology disrupter and successfully created the strategic direction and brand transformation to achieve “Best Place to Work” and “Top Program Partner” status. Previous experience as both a CMO and CIO informs my product development, go-to-market, customer acquisition, and customer experience strategy, and through this unique lens, I have improved operational infrastructures and scaled assets, propelling companies to unprecedented revenue gains, operating profits, EBITDA, and valuations. As a leader, I have built cohesive and engaged cultures, despite changes in company ownership, to earn the distinction as an employer of choice and realized global and domestic retention rates well above industry benchmarks. Frequent communications, transparency, and accessibility have been hallmark attributes of my leadership style and have greatly contributed to achieving a motivated and productive workforce. In addition to my CEO role, I have also served as a public company Board Director, involved in all governance, audit, succession planning, and compensation planning committee meetings. I played an instrumental role in negotiating acquisition terms with an activist equity investor, yielding a double-digit percentage purchase price premium to shareholders. Subsequently, I was retained as a director for the newly-formed private board. Currently, I also serve in a board advisory capacity for health-tech innovation incubator, Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign, vetting the feasibility of early-stage health-tech businesses.
