Build Integration
• Responsible for creating the SCMP (Software Configuration Management Processes) documents for the Project, performing SCM, e.g. running a product build and doing an official release, and working with project managers and project teams to ensure the smooth implementation of SCM processes and procedures. • Provided the technical support for the daily CM issues, such as changing makefile for the special feature, resolving code confliction, upmerging common code to the baseline, fixing build failure. • Generated, monitored and maintained Baseline Audit, Configuration Item Version Control and Configuration Identification in order to get approve from software QA engineer. • Implementated Mobile Software Flex/PRI settings based on build’s requirement. • Developed sanity test case for each build. Performed integration, system, and regression tests during product deployment. Provided sanity testing procedure and result in the release notes. • Supported the factory build. Worked with factory team to get the correct software release installed on the phone. • Created and tested SuperMonster files for customer releases.
• Lead Build and Testing Engineer for A910i SIP-enabled, IPTV-enabled handset at Linux Java Platform. Responsibilities included networking with software component teams to ensure the software releases contained features that were aligned with customer requirements and deadlines, enforcing Configuration Management (CM) requirements, and created the test case based on customer requirements. • Developed software integration release processes for new emerging 2008/2009 handsets featuring 4G technologies, Near-Field Communications, SIP/UMA technologies, and Symbian OS Platform. • Generated AP and BP flex release associated with each software build. • Created 1FF(One Flash File) release for the customer. Identified and verified the release before officially released to the customer. Performed root caused analysis to identified issues. Worked with development team to get the major problem fixed ASAP. • Coordinated build, flex, test related work between teams at different locations, both locally and off-shore. • Coordinated with international development and in-country engineers to resolve issues/defects. • Trained less experienced team members on technical matters. • Managed time and prioritized mutiple tasks at the same time for on-time delivery to customer.
