I study conversation. Specifically, how brands can use humor to communicate with their consumers, and how consumers communicate with one another in consumption contexts. Along with Dr. Peter Ubel, I have worked to develop an online grocery store called "Howe's Grocery" that can help researchers understand factors that affect consumers' choices in an online marketplace (https://openscience-onlinegrocery.com/).
-Developed a research tool ("Howe's Grocery") that facilitates research in online grocery settings. I worked with Dr. Alison Brooks and Dr. Leslie John in the Negotiations, Organizations and Markets Unit of HBS. My duties included: IRB submissions, literature reviews, survey coding, data cleaning, qualitative coding, and case writing.
I performed qualitative coding on online discussion board posts as part of a larger project on machine learning and pedagogy.
Cleaned and analyzed data related to youth attachment styles and alcoholism Wrote results sections for various manuscripts based on my analyses. Manuscript forthcoming
