Peter Huesemann-Odom is a creative leader in interior design, specializing in crafting thoughtful, layered spaces that balance authenticity and refinement. With a global perspective shaped by professional experience in Europe, South America, and the United States, Peter brings a dynamic, multicultural sensibility to every project. After moving to the U.S. in 2021, he quickly built meaningful collaborations with American clients and design firms, expanding his practice across both residential and commercial interiors. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts and will complete his Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design at the Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design (Georgia State University) in 2024. His work is defined by a commitment to purposeful, organic, and genuine design—spaces that feel both grounded and inspiring. Whether consulting, leading projects, or collaborating with design teams, Peter is passionate about creating interiors that matter: inclusive yet elevated, personal yet enduring.
Interior Designer for residential design. From programming and conceptual design to schematic design and design development, space planning, and construction documentation, as well as participation in selecting and presenting furniture, FF&E, color palettes, and lighting.
Supervising and leading large-scale projects strategically, such as introductions of design guidelines, new store openings, and styling projects; planning to implementation on a freelance basis by focusing on clear and uniform communication on- and offline. Based in Atlanta, GA, with customers in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and the USA.
Instructor of record for the undergraduate Interior Design program at Georgia State University, teaching sophomore, junior and senior students in spatial and retail design.
Instructor of record in (eng.) Interior Design & Merchandising for graduate students of the Luxury, Fashion & Sales Management program. All students attend this 24-hour course in one semester and graduate with a design thesis.
