• Analyze real-time drilling operations data to identify risks and improve well performance. • Perform the design and pre-analysis of the drill string for expected torque and drag (T&D) during drilling, ensuring the BHA design is within surface equipment limits. • Develop a recommended critical RPM roadmap to avoid downhole vibrations in the drill string and optimize BHA performance. • Using Wellscan modeling software to produce enhanced automation solutions to improve accuracy, quality and efficiency in drilling. • Prepare technical documentation including daily drilling, BHA analysis, vibrations mapping, pre-casing/drilling, and end-of-well reports. • Build and maintain strong client relationships with regular communication and support.
• Real Time project setups for optimizing drilling processes, increasing wellbore quality and providing value beyond the drilling stage using different platforms like Teamwork and Saphira. • Handle and update various projects to assist clients with Real-time survey corrections, SAG calculations, etc. as per their needs. • Improve well placement accuracy in directional drilling by providing a comprehensive 3D geomagnetic reference model for real-time steering with MagVAR Advanced Technology. • Deliver advanced directional drilling solutions using MagVAR IFR Calculator, Motive Dashboard tools like Collision Avoidance, Auto Slide, Bit Guidance system & others. • Hands on experience of various platforms like Oracle CRM, Crowd, Zoho Vault, Power Apps, Well Drive, etc. • Interact with client’s Drilling Engineers, MWD Operators, Well Planners, etc. to understand their needs and providing solution in a timely manner.
• Monitor and analyse the rig operations in real-time using Drilling time and Drilling Depth Logs. • Handle various drilling parameters in real time. Interpretation of LWD/MWD with Time/Depth based plot, Trajectory (Survey data) and mud log plots to ensure the client that the well is drilling according to the planned trajectory. • Interpretation of MWD (Measurement while drilling), LWD (Logging while drilling) and Mud logging data. • Troubleshoot issues related to WITS & WITSML. • Hands on experience of various real time software’s like NOV Real Time Viewer, Rig Vision etc. • Training and Technical advice to client’s geologists and different service vendors like MWD engineers, LWD Engineers, Mudloggers etc. about company’s software. • Prepare Non Productive Time analysis reports which saves upto $4000 on daily basis. • Monitored oil wells of various regions e.g. Bakken, Eagle ford, Oklahoma, Permian, etc. • Suggest enhancements and report bugs/glitches to Development,functional testing during new release.
Four weeks of Summer Internship at ONGC, under the project : Drilling Operations • Learned about processes of drilling, directional drilling and fishing. • Information about casing & cementing operations. • Visited drilling rig (M-750-2), cementing plant & ONGC office.
Winter Internship at IOCL, under the project : Atmospheric Vacuum distillation unit and Diesel hydrodesulfurization unit • Studied about functioning of Atmospheric and Vacuum distillation columns and the products obtained from them. • Process, characteristics and functioning of Diesel hydrodesulfurization unit.
