Responsible for product selection for all items sold in Costco’s 70 northwest locations in the freezer department. This involves leading a team of inventory control specialists, negotiating pricing with suppliers, supply chain management, and an overall strategic vision needed to achieve company financial goals while simultaneously meeting customer expectations.
Assisted the buyer in buying decisions while managing the day to day operations of the department. This included interviewing and training new employees, conducting performance reviews, solving supply chain problems, and identifying areas of improvement and implementing new tools we could use to achieve sales and inventory goals.
Managed vendor relationships and placed purchase orders for up to 100 items sold at Costco. Responsible for solving supply chain problems, maintaining proper inventory levels, and forecasting for promotional events.
