Description of the role: I was an Innovation Project Manager who was responsible for the project and technical management as well as the design and development of innovative Aerodynamic Control Systems for the EU-funded Aeroflex project (Horizon 2020). In parallel, I was managing three additional advanced development projects with a focus on next-generation technologies. Besides the technical tasks, I was very much involved with the investigation, networking with, acquisition of, and management of the suppliers and international partners for innovative product development and alignment on upcoming technologies as a representative of the Optiflow Aerodynamic Team. This role gave me the chance to combine my background and expertise in aerospace engineering and aviation with my enthusiastic, driven, and dynamic personality and my passion for sustainable, CO2-free technologies and innovation. The goal of AEROFLEX, Aerodynamic and Flexible Trucks for Next Generation of Long Distance Road Transport, project was to develop and demonstrate new technologies, concepts, and architectures for complete vehicles with optimized aerodynamics, powertrains, and safety systems that were energy efficient, safe, comfortable, configurable and cost-effective, while ensuring that the varying needs of customers were satisfied by being flexible and adaptable concerning the continuously changing operational conditions. As one of the partners of the AEROFLEX consortium, ZF WABCO participated in the two main sub-projects: - For AEMPT, the brake system technology for the vehicles to be equipped. - In aerodynamics, several adjustable aerodynamic drag reduction devices for trucks and trailers like tails and skirts as well as other aerodynamic improving applications. #truck #trailer #roadtransport #sustainability #aerodynamics #innovation #technologydevelopment #energyefficiency Related websites: https://www.zf.com/products/en/cv/products_64601.html https://aeroflex-project.eu/
