Hi! I'm He Xi. I'm currently a Year 2 Biotechnology Student studying at the University of Nottingham Malaysia. Throughout my studies, I've gained foundational knowledge on biotechnology techniques and laboratory skills. I am passionate about pushing my boundaries and exploring interdisciplinary areas beyond traditional research and development. My primary interests in biotechnology lie in medical biotechnology and pharmaceutical management and commercialization.
• Collected and analyzed peer feedback on teaching methods and course delivery through structured surveys. • Presented student feedback and satisfaction data at Student–Staff Forums (SSF) to support academic improvements. • Acted as a liaison between students and teaching staff by formally raising concerns and facilitating timely resolutions. • Assisted lecturers with lecture rescheduling and communicated updates efficiently to the student cohort.
• Planned and proposed educational event ideas aligned with Project Notebook’s goal to deliver academic and transferable skills to underprivileged children in Malaysia. • Co-organized and facilitated Project Notebook Education Camp: Inspire Social Entrepreneurship and STEAM, engaging 30+ underprivileged children through hands-on learning activities. • Prepared volunteer recruitment forms, event proposals, and comprehensive post-event reports to support project planning, execution, and evaluation.
• Gained hands-on experience in full-stack web development, learning core frontend and backend concepts from scratch in a professional environment. • Managed and queried structured data using MySQL for backend operations and testing. • Implemented API integration to retrieve backend data and dynamically display it on the frontend. • Assisted in the development of a finance-related web application and a crypto trading simulation game, supporting both functionality and data integration. • Built and structured basic web pages using HTML, JavaScript, and Laravel, applying responsive and functional design principles • Assisted with data entries for users of platforms such as HATA.
