PALFINGER MARINE (NED-DECK) manufactures Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) such as davits and cranes for life saving purposes, daughter crafts, work boats, fast interceptors and fenders. In this function i am responsible for the Service, Repair, Installation, Adjustment, Testing and Commissioning (hydraulic, electric, and mechanical) of all launch and recovery systems such as davits for life saving purposes, work boats, fast interceptors and fenders as well as Free fall davits and marine and offshore cranes on board of vessels and offshore platforms.
In this function I am responsible for troubleshooting, setup, programming and control, repair and modification of the often complex audio-visual systems, video conferencing systems (Tandberg / Cisco, Polycom, LifeSize), broadcasting and evacuation systems, conference systems (DCN), Operating systems (AMX, Crestron, Extron), interactive systems and professional audio and video equipment (various brands) on behalf of clients such as: EU, NATO, Courts, Police stations, Municipalities, Government agencies and various multinationals.
In this function I was responsible for installing, troubleshooting, committing periodic maintenance, setup, control, repair and modification of the often complex visual installations.
Main Tasks: • Welding (TIG, MIG / MAG, electric arc welding) • Troubleshooting of Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic issues within installations. • Revision and conditioning of industrial conveyor systems and production systems. • Shaft alignments. • Change Layout (Machine relocations). • Field Services. • Mechanical engineering & development. • Editing of corrosion resistant materials. • Create and customize steel structures. This work was carried out in our own workshop and on site at various customers within the food and the chemical industry’s. The activities mentioned above were mostly on board of the “Kaliwaal 41” an sand classifier system, and in the paper factory of Georgia-Pacific.
