A recent graduate student from Seton Hall University and an incoming Master of Public Health (MPH) student at Rutgers University. Continuing her education with the goal of conducting research on the neurological and psychological adaptation to life-altering changes, while advocating for health policies that protect patient rights, access, and treatment.
Dedicated to advancing health equity through community engagement, patient advocacy, and outreach. In this role, I connect underserved populations with healthcare services, insurance resources, and supportive programs while fostering partnerships that expand access to care. Through education, relationship-building, and community-centered initiatives, I help improve health outcomes and empower individuals to navigate the healthcare system with confidence.
Research and co-write educational content highlighting disparities in healthcare for individuals with disabilities. Develop articles aimed at improving provider communication, promoting inclusive care, and advancing disability equity in medical settings.
Under the direction of Dr. Zhaomeng Niu (Department of Health Informatics), our research team is investigating the disproportionate rise of skin cancer among Hispanic and underserved populations. This work involves analyzing epidemiological trends, identifying socioeconomic and structural health disparities, and evaluating knowledge gaps in early detection and prevention strategies. In addition to our research, we are developing culturally responsive outreach materials to raise awareness in at-risk communities and collaborating with public health professionals to design evidence-based cancer prevention initiatives.
Collaborate with psychology faculty to represent the department to prospective students and their families, sharing personal academic experiences to highlight the Psychology program. Support departmental events and outreach initiatives while serving as a student ambassador to strengthen engagement and visibility of the Psychology Department.
As Chair of the Latin Caucus at Seton Hall University, I lead a coalition of 10 student organizations and clubs that represent the Latinx community on campus. I coordinate cultural and educational initiatives, facilitate policy discussions, and collaborate with student government, university administrators, and external partners to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion. In this role, I work to strengthen student engagement, amplify Latinx voices, and share leadership development across the campus community.
Designs and produces newsletters that highlight institute programs, events, and community activities, combining clear content with simple, engaging layouts. Supports digital distribution, collaborates with staff, and covers events to share key updates with the university community.
Selected as one of only 75 students nationwide for the inaugural Let Us Lead Fellowship, a program empowering progressive-minded college students to drive meaningful political change. As a fellow, I develop strategic media campaigns and organize discussions with New Jersey State representatives to advance policy initiatives. I collaborate with a national network of student leaders and experienced consultants to strengthen civic engagement, advocacy skills, and youth representation in underrepresented communities.
