I was appointed CEO of voestalpine AG in July 2019 and have also served as Vice President of the Upper Austrian branch of the Federation of Austrian Industries since 2019. My professional career at voestalpine began in 1989, when I joined the company as a plant engineer for maintenance. Over the following years, from 1993 to 2000, I held various management positions in Cold Rolling Mill Maintenance, Quality Management, Occupational Safety, and Environmental Protection. In 2000, I took on the role of Technical Managing Director of voestalpine Krems GmbH, further expanding my leadership responsibilities. Since 2012, I have been a Member of the Management Board of voestalpine AG. In this capacity, I initially managed the Metal Forming Division before returning from Krems an der Donau to Linz in October 2014 to assume leadership of the Steel Division. I studied Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration at TU Wien and graduated as a Diplomingenieur in 1988.
