I am a Computer Science undergraduate at Durham University, ranking 1st in my second year cohort, with a strong interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science and software engineering. Modules I've studied include Algorithms & Data Structures, Software Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams across global offices, contributing to technical development and product analysis to deliver successful POCs. - Played a key role in developing The Sun’s new recommendation system module, working with embeddings and vector stores, and analysing performance. - Helped build The Times’ Money Mentor chatbot by integrating LLMs with RAG, using LangChain for data ingestion and retrieval chains. - Worked extensively with Google Cloud tools like BigQuery, VertexAI, and Colab Notebooks.
- Completed a project working with Google Cloud Platform, GenAI, Python (Pandas, Scikit, Matplotlib) and statistical analysis. I created a slide deck for the project and presented it to stakeholders. - Developed skills & knowledge in project management surrounding tech and in data engineering including retrieval and organisation of large data sets.
Runner Up for Samsung's Solve For Tomorrow competition 2023. Under the mentorship of Samsung, I am continuing to develop a tech idea to combat some hardships faced by homeless individuals.
This role involved both backend and frontend work. I've worked with databases in PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and further work with Svelte and Eleventy on the frontend.
