As a Manufacturing Engineer at Collins Aerospace, I manage all defects and imperfections of materials and parts before delivering them to customers. I also update internal planning and process sequence to ensure ease of access for operators and proper part quality. I implement dispositions from the Material Review Board to do possible rework or resubmits on parts with defects. Additionally, I create and manage standard work to allow standardization across the entire facility. I am pursuing a Master of Engineering degree in Automotive Engineering from the University of Michigan, after completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. I have prior experience in mechanical design, product development, and system modeling within both the Automotive and Aerospace industry. I have skills in 3D Computer Aided Design (3D CAD), PTC Creo, and Machine Tools. My goal is to apply my knowledge and skills to innovative and sustainable projects that improve mobility and safety.
− Responsible for managing all defects and imperfections of materials and parts prior to sending them out to customer. − Updating internal planning and process sequence to ensure ease of access for operators and proper part quality. − Implement dispositions from the Material Review Board to do possible rework or resubmits on parts with defects. − Updating, troubleshooting, and creating laser projection systems to allow for lay-up of composite materials. − Laying up composite materials, layer after layer; took part under compaction bag, debagged and prepped for autoclaves (pressure plus heat) − Create and manage standard work to allow standardization across the entire facility. − Conducted thorough “pitch walks” to evaluate technicians’ efficiency to save time spent on manufacturing a part. − Utilized CATIA to find solutions and acquire useful information from part assemblies. − Fully support technicians day-to-day with troubleshooting, planning revision, talk points to flow updates and help, etc… − Performed PFMEAs on site heijunka to allow for technicians to have smoother and more efficient user interface for completing daily operations.
− Responsible for managing Capital requirements for the Excalibur projectile project. − Creating a functional workspace for the requirements to be properly organized and accessible to the entire team. − Managing stakeholder requirements within three phases to keep the project afloat and on route to complete the project. − Hosting reviews and managing various iterations of requirements to be well prepared for the System Requirements Review with all stakeholders present. − Assisting in system modeling using SysML.
− Dissected and Harvested anodes from pervious pouch cells to then construct new el cell half cells for future Failure and Analysis Testing. − Mixed Raw Materials, with the FML-10 by Zeppelin, to produce a mix for the development of the Million Mile Battery pack for Tesla. − While creating high volume mixtures, distinguished the tap density of the raw materials to then display on a plot to evaluate sufficient electrode properties. − Performed Calendaring: producing sheets of electrodes and anodes with designed raw material mixtures. − Took approved courses for proper PPE coverage in specific Tesla Dry Rooms.
