Strategic and technical leadership of CFI's media development and cooperation initiatives across the Levant region, including managing CFI's regional Qarib programme. Responsible for defining and implementing regional strategies, initiating and delivering high-impact projects, and representing CFI in developing strong relationships with local stakeholders, authorities, and international partners. Key responsibilities include team leadership, strategic oversight, operational effectiveness, and adherence to ethical standards. The role also involves implementing robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks and ensuring sound financial management to maximize impact and strengthen media resilience in the Middle East.
Responsible for strategic and technical steering as well as for the overall operational and team management of the Qarib programme, supporting dialogue and social cohesion through media in Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine.

Democracy Reporting International promotes political participation of citizens, accountability of state bodies and the development of democratic institutions world-wide. DRI helps support local ways of promoting the universal right of citizens to participate in the political life of their country. Responsibilities: Lead on the development and implementation of all project activities in the MENA region in line with donor regulations, including trainings, workshops, publications etc, in collaboration with the project team leaders/country directors and responsible colleagues in Berlin head offices. Overall responsibility for project developement, implementation and M&E in Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. Lead on strategy development in the region, monitoring and analysing political developments. Ensure regular donor and internal reporting. Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation systems for the projects in the region. Oversee and contribute to research, analysis and publications on political issues, human rights and democracy standards, electoral and constitutional issues for project publications. Supervision of 3 professionals and indirectly of up to 18 country office staff (internationals and nationals). MICT's activities comprise the training of journalists and media producers, program and content development, production of radio programs, films and books, as well as media monitoring in crisis regions. Responsibilities: Setup of the Media Academy Iraq, a coaching-, training- and consulting facility for media professionals. Responsible for strategic oversight and overall management of MICT’s activities in Iraq. Implementation of more than 200 trainings, coaching sessions, consultancies and other events in all regions of Iraq. Development of a network of partners and clients, business development. Hiring, training and managing 6 local and international employees as well as various international experts and consultants. Responsible for budget management, technical oversight and quality control.
