Henner is a professor of information systems and holds the Chair of Digital Management in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Hohenheim. He is a Director of the Research Center for Information Management (FIM), works at the Fraunhofer FIT, and is co-founder and co-lead of the Digital Leadership Academy. Henner is an award-winning scientist, author of more than 150 scientific articles, and editor of several books. In research, teaching, and industry activities, Henner explores the intersection of technology, people, and organizations. For example, Henner investigates how established companies manage their digital transformation, how digital technologies and media shape the future of work, how people and artificially intelligent agents interact, how firms and customers interact via the IoT, and how one can employ digital technologies to achieve ecologic sustainability in industrial processes and private housing. Henner is enthusiastic about developing new knowledge and helping both companies and students to acquire knowledge. Besides research and teaching, Henner consults and supports industrial companies, financial service providers, healthcare providers, cities, and various other organizations in managing their digital transformation.
