A dynamic personality with fine amalgamation of communication skills, learning ability, adaptability, team work. "Chemical Engineers" contributes in biomedical engineering, Chemical manufacturing, Biotechnology, etc. So to excel in the field of Chemical Engg., I am pursuing M.Eng at University of Calgary and have my B.Tech degree from Dharmsinh Desai University in India. I learnt about practical aspects of Chemical Engineering as well as Sustainance Audits and Daily Work Management DWM which are part of TQM i.e Total Quality Management. I have worked as Graduate Engineer Trainee at United Phosphorus Limited UPL- Unit 2, Ankleshwar, Gujarat, India that manufactures and markets agrochemicals, industrial Chemicals, chemical intermediates and pesticides. To put my theoretical knowledge to test, I completed my " Project Report on Methanol -2 and Weak Nitric Acid -1 at G.N.F.C, Bharuch" under guidance of professor Dr. Anand P.Dhanwani. I was able to estimate raw material requirement i.e mass flowrates of input and output streams and I got familiar with working environment of industries. - Ready to learn new job or skill with enthusiasm. -Good interpersonal and soft skills. - Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint skills.
I started this part time job as a crew member where i worked with other employees at McDonald's by being a supportive team member. I always focused on what we needed to do together to complete tasks diligently and also making sure that follows the relevant food safety and hygiene standards. - After seeing my performance, I am promoted as a CrewTrainer where I am responsible for training new people who joins the company. - Learnt about practical aspects of Chemical Engineering such as Material Balance, Energy Balance, Designing of Equipments, Cost Estimation while working with Shift Engineer and about working environment of industry. - I also got knowledge on working of vacuum pumps,absorption column, and much more. - Along with that, took part in managing sustainance audits and Daily Work Management, 5S which are important tools of Total Quality Management TQM.
The primary objective of the project was to comprise all the aspects of Chemical Plant such as Material Balance, Energy Balance, Designing of Equipment, Cost Estimation, etc. - I also got to know much about Cooling Towers, control Valves and measuring instruments like mass flowmeters. - While working on this project, I also sharpened my MS Office skills like word, Powerpoint presentations, etc.
