Over the course of my career, I’ve helped organizations raise over $2M in funding, broker partnerships generating more than $8 million more in value, and stabilize operations to ensure long-term impact. Most recently, as Executive Director of Federal Hill Main Street in Baltimore, I led economic development, marketing, events, and clean-and-safe initiatives for a historic district of 200+ businesses, supporting 20+ new business openings and contributing to a 500,000+ increase in annual visitors. With a formal background in policy and deep experience in community-centered work, I focus on aligning capital with human-centered outcomes, building systems that integrate stories, strengthen local economies, and foster belonging. My work spans economic revitalization, small business development, and social impact initiatives—including food security, refugee resettlement, and anti-human trafficking efforts.

Built a non-partisan online platform dedicated to simplifying current policy issues. Create original content for weekly emails, monthly blog posts, and bi-weekly podcasts. Manage social media platforms, analyze traffic and insights to develop a social media strategy to increase exposure. Implement SEO tactics to encourage growth. Research current policy issues and translate information so audience across various levels of subject-familiarity can understand content. Interview subject-matter experts including field professionals, professors, and stakeholders. I have guest-spoken on podcasts including Satiate and The Inspired Women’s Podcast. Through this platform I raised financial and material support of $10,000 to the Russo-Ukraine War and Operation Allies Welcome through reader and listener donations, while also volunteering time on the ground to work with refugees. Policy Out Loud is currently read by 5,000 readers a month across 41 countries.
During this time I moved from the US to Germany, completed my Master's Degree, traveled, and built the Policy Out Loud platform.
As the senior program manager, I led a team of 70 people, including 2 staff members, 5 senior advocates, and 63 volunteers, all of whom were assigned to child abuse and neglect court cases. I met with key decision makers and Missouri State Representatives to advocate for policy change. I planned and coordinated fundraisers and community awareness events which helped to double the size of the organization and triple revolving financial support. I coordinated communication between interested parties including, lawyers, social workers, law enforcement, investigators, specialists, juvenile officers, judges, foster parents, and children in state custody. I was responsible for employee hiring, evaluation, worker relations and maintained compliance with local and national regulation. I helped supervise all agency initiatives, ensure team goals and deadlines were met. I assisted in developing and revising organizational budgets. I was responsible for editing and submitting court reports prior to hearings regarding permanency and services. I balanced a caseload of 140-150 children and their 68 community volunteers. I matched referred children to community volunteers. During my time I helped 89 children find permanency and reduced the average time a child spent in foster care in the county by 90 days. I was recognized for performance in 2018 for exemplary community service with the volunteer choice award.
