About

As a digital strategist I'm passionate about geospatial data and information management. I use spatial analysis and modelling to solve some of the world's most challenging problems. My varied career path in the private sector and local, central and international government organisations has allowed me to experience both the client and service provider perspective. Proven project and people management skills: • Strategy creation and communication • Budget management, tracking and reporting • Resource management - task and project prioritisation • Balancing delivery and staff/business development • Influencing and storytelling • Client engagement and relationship building Innovation: Track record of creating innovation to respond to client needs. I am able to harness my technical expertise and knowledge of this fast-paced industry to take calculated risks in implementing innovative solutions. Recently I have been developing corridor modelling, site optimisation and topographic characterisation techniques for renewable energy clients. Cross cultural collaboration: I have worked in many teams which were comprised of multiple nationalities, often I was the only British person. I have learnt the importance of understanding cultural context and how listening and investigating different perspectives can foster greater collaboration. As well as learning some basic Arabic, French, and Spanish, I have learned the importance of non-verbal communication and how actions can show respect. Proud to have contributed innovative GIS solutions to the following industries: • Renewable energy • Water management • Disaster management • Transport • Climate resilience • Historic environment • Ecology and biodiversity • Digital transformation Career highlight: Working for the International Organisation for Migration in Haiti, I managed earthquake reconstruction projects including the legal landownership and engineering aspects. This complete neighbourhood return project required a complex data collection plan and systematic quality assurance of the map products used for coordination and community mobilisation. Current business development focus: Research into spatial finance for environmental social corporate governance (ESG).
