I am an experienced Executive Education and leadership expert, with a passion for creating work cultures where both individuals and the organization thrive. I believe that courageous leadership is a significant enabler for business success, and that it is a skill that can be learned. I bring 15+ years of experience in helping multinational companies transform into learning organizations. As an accomplished learning & development professional I enable strategy execution through effective and empowering people development solutions. My strength is using my expertise in the neuroscience of leadership to help my clients build individual and organizational skills that foster the psychological safety, agility and learning-orientation needed to succeed in a complex and fast-changing environment. I’m a Swiss and Swedish national, have lived in six countries across three continents and thrive in diversity. In my work I draw on my own career background in finance and IT as well as my knowledge of social psychology – but most of all I draw on what I've learned from the hundreds of clients who have entrusted me with some of their grittiest challenges.
As Director Custom Programmes at the Executive School of Management, Technology and Law, I am responsible for offering, designing, planning, and executing learning and development programmes for our corporate clients.
As part of cross-Miltton teams I helped our clients strengthen strategy execution through effective and empowering leadership. I sold, designed, facilitated and evaluated learning solutions with customer sessions ranging from strategy processes with management teams to all-employee workshops with hundreds of participants. Typical projects were: • Designing and delivering comprehensive leadership programs for managers and high-potentials in close collaboration with our client's L&D professionals (typically blend of f2f, live online and e-learning elements) • Producing e-learning programs to strengthen specific skills such as giving effective feedback, personal resilience, sustainability and ways to strengthen diversity, equal opportunity and inclusion, often taking the role of speaker • Post-merger support in creating a strong shared culture • Developing leadership principles in line with a new strategy and supporting their use in daily interactions • Strengthening agile and inclusive collaboration practices • Sharpening clients’ employer branding efforts by connecting them with culture and leadership initiatives As part of project work, I often took a leadership role for cross-functional teams of consultants. Miltton is Finland’s leading communication agency, empowering societal change makers in all sectors. It has grown from 150 people in 2 countries to 400 staff in 7 countries during my time. As part of the internal L&D team I have led internal trainings and in various ways supported Miltton’s growth as a flexibly structured yet largely self-organizing group.
I was a founding partner in building up the leadership development practice at Miltton: • As certified leadership coach and facilitator, typically holding the role of program director at our corporate leadership programs, I helped our multinational clients transform their culture and leadership towards more agility and inclusion. • I continued to lead ICF accredited coach certification programs for professional coaches. • Due to my extensive experience in delivering online workshops and learning solutions, I spearheaded Milttons' initiatives to help our clients be better leaders in the remote pandemic work environment. • I initiated and set up a partnership with www.tuffleadershiptraining.com, bringing their methodology for creating self-managing teams to Finland
As lead facilitator on corporate leadership programs and lead instructor on 6-month ICT-accredited coach training programs for professional coaches I helped participants: • Lead change in a high-pressure environment in an inclusive and engaging way that enables people to actively co-create the future, rather than be recipients of change. • Lead teams by clarifying meaningful objectives, facilitating insight on how to solve challenges, and celebrating small wins. • Ensure continuous progress by giving feedback and asking for feedback in learning-enhancing ways. • Understand how the brain works and how to coach “with the brain in mind” in order to facilitate positive change with long-lasting results • Master core coaching competencies and a wide range of coaching methods in order to become successfully certified by the International Coach Federation.
Global Project Manager for the General Computer Controls part of Stora Enso’s Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance effort: • Spokesperson for the group-wide shift in mindset towards greater accountability required by legal consequences of Stora Enso’s presence on the U.S. market and listing on the U.S. stock exchange. • Developed and communicated internal control processes for all IT systems handling financial data • Trained and supervised IT-departments at 40 mills and corporate functions in 13 countries • Facilitated implementation of new general computer control routines • Managed 3 consultants and 3 team members assigned to the project • Led team which conducted testing for management assessment of internal controls • Held responsibility for coordination and communication with external auditors
