Helena Orcoyen is a Spanish coloratura soprano opera singer, internationally recognized and awarded at various prestigious competitions. Since her debut in 2011 as Marina in Emilio Arrieta’s Marina in the Kursaal Auditorium of San Sebastian, Orcoyen has gone on to play many roles. During the 2013/2014 season, she debuted as Wagner’s Erste Blumenmädchen (Parfisal) in Bologne’s Teatro Comunale under the direction of Roberto Abbado and scene by Romeo Castellucci and as Adina in Donizzetti’s L´elisir d´amore in Orvieto’s Mancinelli Theatre de Orvieto under the direction of Vittorio Parisi and the scene by Gabriella Ravazzi. Orcoyen’s other roles include Offenbach’s Olympia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann); Mozart’s Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) and Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte); Delibes’s Lakmé (Lakmé); Verdi’s Oscar (Un Ballo in Maschera); Bellini’s Amina (La Sonnambula); Händel´s Morgana (Alcina); Vives’s Francisquita (Doña Francisquita); and Strauss’s Zerbinetta (Ariadne Auf Naxos).
