I am currently a Molecular Medicine PhD student at University of Maryland, Baltimore.
- Investigated mechanisms by which acute myeloid leukemia cells could be reprogrammed to either behave normally or undergo apoptosis - Investigated how overexpressing genes of interest affects AML cell fate - Applied techniques like RT-qPCR and flow cytometry to assess gene expression and cellular responses
- Aided the development of a robust neutralizing antibody bioassay for use with Bristol Myers-Squibb’s cytokine platform assays using a human epithelial cell line through optimization and characterization procedures. - Responsible for cell line culturing and Vi-cell counting to standardize assay inputs. - Utilized a SEAP reporter detection system and GraphPad Prism 9 data analysis to interpret how assay conditions varied during optimization. - Conducted MACSQuant Flow Cytometry and FlowJo data analysis to quantitate protein epitope presence and degradation.
- Managed club operations and delegated tasks - Conducted extensive networking, resulting in partnerships with local fitness groups - Helped women gain the confidence to get into the weight room
- Assisted the Quality Control chemistry and bioanalytical laboratory support team - Established a query within LIMS that enables us to track and manage soon-to-expire reagents. - Set up 5s within the modular laboratories and maintained 5s throughout all QC laboratories
