Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark, Denmark
Set the Course. Navigate Uncertainty. Direction matters more than certainty. People matter more than plans. From dragoons to diplomacy, that principle has held. In armoured manoeuvre and international negotiation alike, you commit to a direction before you have full information. The context changes but the logic does not. Crossing the Atlantic in a sailboat taught me that momentum matters more than comfort. When you are seasick in Aarhus Bay (Denmark), Brazil is still far away - but stopping is not an option. You steady yourself, adjust course, and keep moving. That mindset has stayed with me. My focus is turning intent into action - prioritising, deciding, and delivering under real-world constraints and the leadership task is simple: Enable skilled people to succeed. Results are created through others - and that requires clarity of purpose, prioritisation, and conditions where professionals can deliver high-quality advice. My experience spans international affairs, economics, digital integration, security, and governance across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. Outside the formal setting, I am a campfire guitarist and barbershop lead singer, and I'm upbeat and in high spirits. Music reinforces what leadership demands: Listening before acting, timing decisions well, and trusting others to carry their part.
