I drive Australia–New Zealand market development for Primus Line, working in trenchless pipeline rehabilitation — helping water utilities and asset owners reline ageing pressure mains without the cost, disruption and carbon of open-cut replacement. Over 12 years with the group — the first 5 at the German headquarters, then building the ANZ market from the ground up — my work has centred on bringing an engineered European solution into a market still new to it: understanding the engineering problem, establishing technical credibility, and developing the long-term relationships that turn a first project into an ongoing program. The result has been a portfolio of repeat business with utilities and councils across both countries — including Urban Utilities, City of Gold Coast and Sydney Water in Australia, and Auckland Airport, Tauranga and Nelson councils in New Zealand — built one proven project at a time. Day-to-day work spans business development, technical sales, partner channel management and project support — consultative selling, hydraulic and liner sizing analysis, on-site installation supervision, and standards and sustainability work including cradle-to-gate carbon and WSAA engagement. By training I'm an engineer (Diplom-Ingenieur, Germany), with 20 years of international experience across three continents, working in German, English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Responsible for growing Primus Line's ANZ presence across partner channel development, direct key account management, technical sales engineering, and industry representation. Work closely with internal sales support and engineering teams to take projects from initial feasibility through to delivery. Partner & channel management Established and expanded Primus Line's installation partner network across ANZ - covering onboarding, technical training, contract negotiation, and joint project pursuit. Key accounts & client engagement Work directly with utility asset owners, councils, and industrial clients including Sydney Water, Urban Utilities, Rio Tinto, Auckland Airport, and Tauranga City Council. Also engage consulting engineers like GHD, WSP, Aurecon, SMEC, Jacobs, Aecom, Stantec, or Mott MacDonald across ANZ on pressure pipe relining projects at design and development stage. Selected projects – Ann Street, Brisbane: Urban Utilities rehabilitation of a 130-year-old DN600 trunk main under Brisbane CBD. 2.2 km relined with DN500 Primus Liner. – Paraburdoo, WA: Rio Tinto DN550 potable water main trenchless rehabilitation in remote WA, cultural heritage sensitive area. – Auckland, NZ: Auckland Airport relining of a DN300 asbestos cement sewer rising main. Industry representation & contracts Conference speaker at ASTT, WIOA, No-Dig, Ozwater and Water NZ. Technical author for trenchless and water industry press. Contract analysis and negotiation across partner agreements and project contracts throughout ANZ.
Senior account role at Primus Line's German headquarters, managing key European and South American accounts across water, wastewater and oil & gas. Combined technical sales support — pre-sales engineering, site assessments and feasibility studies for drinking water mains, sewer rising mains and industrial pipelines — with knowledge transfer to contractors, consultants and asset owners, and developed technical training material in English and German for international markets.
Global project delivery from Primus Line's German headquarters, supporting international pipeline rehabilitation projects across water, wastewater, gas and oil in Europe, South America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Developed custom quotation and calculation tools to improve proposal accuracy and efficiency, and represented the company at major international trade shows including Rio Oil & Gas - Brazil, H2O Bologna - Italy, and No-Dig Live - UK.
Directed up to 10 concurrent government and enterprise projects with teams exceeding 100 personnel across five international locations. Managed multi-million-euro budgets and reported to C-suite on delivery and financial performance.
