Heather Whiteman is an expert in People Analytics, Talent Transformation, and the Future of Work. Heather has a PhD in Human Capital Management, and a master’s in Industrial Organizational Psychology. Recently Heather made a career transition to the field of education and currently teaches People Analytics and Data, Design and Delivery courses at the University of Washington Information School and the University of California, Berkeley Haas. Heather is a Fulbright Scholar to Guatemala serving as the program director to the first People Analytics Specialization in Latin America. She is an advisor to multiple organizations and is a United States Representative to the International Organization for Standards (ISO) TC 260 focused on the creation of global standards for Human Resource Management. Heather was previously the Vice President and Global Head of People Strategy, Analytics, Digital Learning, HR Operations & Technology at General Electric (GE) Digital. She has led organizations through hyper-growth, digital transformation, mergers, acquisitions & restructuring with the use of advanced, data-informed talent management techniques. Heather’s passion and research focus lies in helping individuals and organizations prepare for the future of work, digital talent transformation and in enabling a future driven by fair data and people analytics insights for good.
