HR Business Partner - Retail Operations, head up HR for Company Owned stores within convenience food sector. Responsible for leading, managing and inspiring a team of HR professionals to deliver the overall business objectives in-line with HR strategy on a 3 and 5 year plan. I have had a number of management HR roles over the last 14 years within Generalist HR function. I have a wealth of experience within all HR functions including TUPE, Employee Relations, L&D, Organisational Design and Performance Management I am highly experienced, versatile and progressive HR professional with a proven track record within leading convenience retail brands working at a commercial and strategic level. Passionate about HRM, this is supported by a MSc in HRM. Holding a number of generalist senior HR roles to date. Currently responsible for 1.2k colleagues over 34 retail convenience food stores in a commerical and strategic capacity. Successfully support a range of HR functions within the wider business, marketplace, company owned and retailer support. TUPE and store acquisition experience more than trebling sites in my time with Musgrave, moving from 9 to 34 sites in a 7 year period, with further growth imminent. Leading, managing and inspiring a team of HR professionals to deliver the business objectives alongside the HR strategy within Retail Operations for a food convenience business.
• Store operations management in a busy retail store generating £550k+ per week • Deputising for the store manager in their absence • Implementation of operational processeso, meeting waste and wages targets • Responsible for stock shrink and stock takes • Coordinating HRM function within the business, overseeing strategy and policy delivery • Performance management of managers, ensuring they are meeting targets • Responsible for Health & Safety compliance, ensuring store is meeting regulatory standards and protocols, completing internal and external reports, liaising with regulatory bodies, subcontractors and project partners • D&G processes, planning and organising on a daily basis to meet store and organisational targets • Leading a team of 260 colleagues and managers, identifying training and development needs • Looking after the following, clothing, GM, fresh production areas, ambient, non-food, customer services, people, admin and fresh operations • Delivering results, meeting objectives and targets whilst supporting and driving the team to achievement through my own initiative to succeed • Making decisions daily, ensuring we operate on low costs and deliver the highest standards, putting customers and colleagues at the heart of the business and acting as a catalyst of this culture for other managers within the organisation
