I have been working as an HR Leader experienced in all facets of human resources operations with a track record of working in the textile, garment, energy, and steel industry for more than 20 years. I have a strong background in job grading, recruitment, talent acquisition and management, conflict resolution, labor relations/laws, labor unions. Since 2021, as HR & Sustainability Director of Taypa Group, I am responsible for all HR Management of Taypa factories in Turkey and Serbia. As I provide hands-on management and supervision for the day-to-day HR operations including, but not limited to employee investigations, discipline, and employee exits, labor relations, staffing compensation and benefit plans etc., I also drive the company’s overall HR strategies. I'm a strong believer that sustainability is very crucial for long term success and survival of both companies and the environment. From 2021 to 2023 in Taypa I define and implement a purposeful sustainability strategy and promote the culture and the awareness of sustainable development throughout the company. Coming from an engineering background has allowed me to understand the nuances of work processes and resolving a wide range of complex organizational issues at all levels within businesses by using an analytic approach. In my function as Taypa Group's (in Turkey and Serbia; about 4.000 Employees) HR & Sustainability Director, I oversee the company’s overall Human Resources strategy, and build a roadmap for business growth and sustainable business transformation — managing operations including strategic designing of HR systems, labor relations/laws, labor unions, job grading, compensation and benefit plans, performance management, recruitment, talent acquisition and management, employee engagement and sustainable organizational effectiveness.
Drawing on two decades of strategic HR leadership, I managed and led a team of 43 HR Professionals who were responsible of handling all HR-related activities within Tosyalı Toyo Çelik A.Ş. Factory that has a headcount of about 1000 people. My specific duties were; • Organizational Development and Culture. Provided vision and strategic leadership for the organization, and guided implementing HR strategic plan in line with company’s mission, goals and objectives, for organizational effectiveness and continued growth. • Policies and Legal Compliance. Built and shaped HR policies and procedures for the newly formed organization in accordance with local statutory requirements. • Employee Relations. Handled conflicts and grievances among employees, collaborated with legal teams to ensure compliance with labor laws and provided guidance on handling complex employee matters. • Talent Management, Compensation and Benefits. Managed the recruitment and retention of employees at all organizational levels. Developed and implemented a fair compensation management plan and relevant salary protocols by routinely reviewing surveys of the local labor market to establish benchmarks for pay and benefits; oversaw annual auditing and selection/negotiation of all benefits packages based on employees’ particular requirements and preferences. • Employee Engagement, Performance Management and Retention. Oversaw performance management system, which includes goal setting and performance reviews, and implemented initiatives and programs to promote employee engagement, contentment, and retention. • Training. Helped to develop resourceful in-house and/or internal training programs including effective onboarding for new employees, skill development courses for professionals, executive leadership training.
Owned dual role of HR and Corporate Communications Director for almost 3 years in Altınyıldız Tekstil ve Konfeksiyon A.Ş. • Developed and implemented new HR procedures, policies and processes, HR tools and systems. • Oversaw HR functions including, but not limited to recruitment, training, compensation and benefits, and performance management. • Handled disciplinary investigations, high-risk terminations and workers' compensation claims and hearings collaborating closely with legal teams. • Acted as a liaison between employees and senior management. • Managed internal and external communications, public relations and social community management.
Managed all the HR operations -including payroll, job grading, performance management, compensation initiatives, training & development - of 9000 personnel in the course of privatization. • Managed the promotion campaigns for TEDAŞ privatization project. • Played a key role in implementing the company’s employee transfer and transformation processes in the course of privatization. • Managed the restructuring of the company's HR operations and implemented efficient organizational structures for producing high levels of productivity. • Acted as a liaison between employees and senior management as well as community organizations. • Oversaw union relations and regulatory compliance.
