I recently graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from NUST (June 2025) being top 3 of my batch, with a major in Artificial Intelligence. Over the last three years with AI , I’ve had the chance to work on some amazing projects, collaborating with student teams and with incredible researchers at places like Additech-Sim and the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. - Part of Data and AI team, responsible for vision and language production applications. - Implemented a multimodal pipeline integrating person recognition (Yunet, OpenCV) with Whisper-based audio transcription, for interview management system
- Led AI team in Posco geotech AI agent development. - Deployment and optimization of Vision language models on H100. - RestAPI and backend integration.
- joined the LLM team. - deploying efficient RAG-retrieval, through CRAG, Graph-RAG etc - implementing multi-modal RAG - Leveraged Qwen VL opensource model for multi-lingual data extraction for POSCO - Developed multi-lingual risk checker RAG doosan.
- Worked under professor Zhiqiang Shen in VILA LAB - Developed DRAG framework focused on knowledge distillation from LLM to SLM. - Research was accepted at ACL 2025 in main conference!.
- Managing 3 interns in providing efficient training and project development. - Analyzed Mercedes-AMG experimental dataset on vehicle structural analysis. - Curated dataset for different vehicles with synthetic data creation and extrapolation. - Implementing deep learning algorithms to produce stress parameters.
- Developing ML projects to enhance real life applications. -Working on producing accurate models starting from EDA of input dataset to improvement on the predictions obtained. -Started working with ML model integration with an RL envoirment for Fugendruck optimization application. -Gaining valuable experience from working together with expert data science engineers.
- Led a 5-member team to develop avionic systems and hardware interfaces for UAVs. - Streamlined avionics and circuitry integration for hexacopters, fixed-wing, and VTOL UAVs using autopilot boards like Pixhawk Cube. - Participated in the Teknofest UAV Competition 2023, Türkiye, and won the performance award as the only Pakistani team.
- Refined technical documentation for IMechE UAS Challenge Pakistan and Teknofest UAV Competition 2022. - Learned and implemented Mission Planner as the base station for UAV for autonomous missions. - Designed and integrated electrical propulsion system.
- Built and fine-tuned a classification model using YOLO-V8 to detect VTOL UAV markers. - Developed path planning and OpenCV-based AI for a swarm-based search and rescue mission. - Designed a fail-safe system for SBCs to handle communication loss from critical components. - Utilized DroneKit and PyMAVLink for decentralized drone communication.
