    • During my placement as a hub we had a cost pressure of £30 million. I carried out a piece of work which identified we were underfunded on NICE drugs. Through forecasting expenditure and modelling future cost pressures depending on the TA Policy for different drugs, we as region gained extra allocation of £12 Million which helped ease the financial pressure, • I created and monitored NHS Drugs analysis and forecasting, reconciliation of £150 Million across the West Midlands for contracts worth £835 Million, • Monthly invoicing of NHS Trusts’ contracted activity across the West Midlands; accumulating to £1.5 billion, annually, • I assisted with drugs budget setting for the West Midland 2018/19 contracts. Taking into consideration forecast modelling, expenditure trends and NICE allocations. I worked directly with senior finance managers to produce forecasts including drug trend, inflation and growth assumptions. • I was the Finance lead analyst of the £40 million Alliance PET CT phase 1 national contract. I personally identified and resolved an invoicing issue within the contract resulting in an extra £250,000 income for the financial year, • I was directly involved with the creation of a National Tariff for HIV treatment; Creating a price model which would take into consideration patient complexity and attendances per complexity rather than one standard price. The new tariff will save the NHS £24 Million in comparison to current contractual payments. • I created various models which allow for analysis of expenditure for cardiac surgery, diagnostic imaging, Aranesp Drugs, Neurosurgery. This allowed us to challenge expenditure and reduce financial pressures on our hub, • Aiding Finance Managers with IR analysis, contract monitoring, closing and agreeing final 16/17 positions and CQUIN incentive calculations for NHS Trusts. • Enhanced my MS Excel skills as well as proficiency in the use of Oracle accounting software.
