Engineering Project Manager for various projects leading a team of up to 200 engineers in the execution of the project: HLE18 electric locomotives, ER24PC diesel-electric locomotives, WDG4 diesel-electric locomotives, ACS64 electric locomotive and Charger diesel-electric locomotives in Europe, Asia and the US. • Coaching and directing project engineering team. • Monitoring schedule adherence and cost control for project engineering team. • Oversee the design of the vehicles to ensure the requirements of the contract are met. • Dedicated communications contact regarding all project issues and resolve points of clarification between Siemens and the Customer on all aspects of locomotive design. • Conduct engineering kick-off meeting. • Organize and perform Engineering Project Review meetings for the systems mentioned. • Ensure adherence to the project quality procedures. • Lead and facilitate internal weekly engineering meetings; coordinate the actions of the various project participants, and manage any necessary corrective actions. • Continuously monitor engineering activities to ensure the project schedule is met. • Assemble necessary technical design data and the required team of system experts representing various disciplines for the technical design reviews. • Review and present the contract deliverables (CDRLs) to the Customer in accordance with the schedule. • Work closely with Customer representatives to ensure timely responses to project issues and correction of any defects.
