I’m a full-stack software engineer with 10+ years of experience designing and delivering scalable, high-performance systems across distributed and microservices architectures. My work spans end-to-end development—from system design and architecture to implementation, testing, and production delivery. I’ve led multiple projects involving REST and RPC-based services, with a strong focus on reliability, performance optimization, and building clean, maintainable systems. Currently, I’m working on systems that process and distribute satellite data, where limited contact windows and intermittent connectivity make throughput and efficiency critical. I focus on designing services that maximize data transfer during short communication intervals and ensure reliable distribution despite constrained connections. This includes building high-throughput pipelines, optimizing I/O performance, and implementing buffering and transfer strategies that minimize data loss, reduce latency, and make efficient use of every available connection window. My technical experience includes backend service development, distributed systems, React Native, and cloud infrastructure, with deep expertise in performance tuning, caching strategies, and scalable system design. Beyond engineering, I bring a strong interest in system optimization, product thinking, and building efficient, real-world solutions, approaching problems with a practical, results-driven mindset.
* Designed and optimized high-throughput satellite communication services for LEO systems, maximizing data transfer efficiency within short contact windows and constrained links. * Developed Rust-based on-satellite agents/daemons enabling communication with ground systems and execution of mission-critical operations with high reliability. * Improved satellite-ground communication reliability through optimized transfer strategies that reduce latency and prevent data loss under intermittent connectivity. * Migrated legacy services to standardized, secure microservice architectures, enhancing scalability, authentication, and access control. * Drove improvements in security and auth mechanisms, aligning distributed services with modern system standards.
• Migrated an existing cloud only distributed service to a true micro-service architecture. - Build an OCI compliant Docker Image that can work with ECS, EKS, and DockerSwarm - Service can now be deployed as a Docker image and be managed by Container Orchestration systems such as ECS, EKS and DockerSwarm - Tested image extensively with various client use-cases. Tuned up image by running performance and stress tests. - Build the documentation for clients on how to use new Docker image with required configuration. • Designed a front-end web application from ground up. Web app required to show visualizations and analytic data for multiple workflow systems. - Used React framework with Node server to build the web app. - Analytical data was stored and processed on ElasticSearch. - Added a proxy server to integrate with other REST and RPC services. - Designed and implemented the complete infrastructure required for the web application and proxy server using IaaS. - Wrote documentation detailing how service was setup and works.
• Developed a major feature by adding an Uber workflow system to automate team onboarding/scaling process. - Used DynamoDB to store client data and used it to show an immersive experience for clients to see their past data. Also, used that data to show what clients can expect in the future. - Reduced operational overhead from 20 hrs/week to 3 hrs/week. • Add changes to make a distributed backend service GDPR compliant. • Enabled authentication on an existing distributed backend service using OAuth with 0 downtime. • Improved visualization for a web application used to pro
Worked on data collection and analysis at the BioComplex Laboratory. Sentiment Analysis of tweets from within US Universities (Python - Data Analysis/Mining) • Compared US universities data published by ranking websites against their students’ tweets. • Analyzed tweets sentiment using Alchemy API. Compared the sentiment against different aspects scored by ranking websites and find correlation among them. - Used Python to code - Used MySQL DB to store data - Used TwitterAPI to get student’s data - Used Google API to translate foreign language tweets in English • Concluded ◦ Students in middle tier private universities (e.g., University of Miami, Vanderbilt, and Northeast- ern University) have an average higher positive sentiment than their peers in top tier universities (e.g., Harvard, Yale etc.) ◦ College sports is a much popular and positive topic as compared to academics among students. ◦ University’s local area have a substantial affect on student’s satisfaction.
• Developed and designed websites with work ranging from setting up web applications to deploy modules for e-commerce. • Websites developed on the M.V.C. architecture. • Use Django modules to develop a tier of the website structure. • Participated in the client meetings to understand the requirements and explained the progress report. • Took responsibility as the Scrum master and help bridge communication between the clients and technical team. • I also developed a Java application with support of Neural Network learning to translate English text into a client made font.
• Developed websites with support ranging from designing registration forms having e-payment module to C.R.M. support. • Learned and deployed the multi-tier infrastructure for web applications. • Also helped in promoting websites using S.E.O. techniques.
