•Support train testing on the Stage 2 mainline, focusing on CBTC and power delivery systems. • Ensure the safety of train occupants by prioritizing safety protocols and providing guidance on the proper use of the train during testing. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with train systems (mechanical, electrical, and control), including field repairs and equipment installation. • Perform daily inspections to ensure the train’s full operational readiness. • Manage work orders using SAP, Apriso SES, and Agility IMIRS; coordinate test schedules with on-site permit holders. • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams for troubleshooting and system support. • Adhere to 5S principles to maintain organized and safe work environments. • Contribute to Stage 1 troubleshooting and maintenance during downtime. • Submit handover reports and provide technical explanations for train failures to management.
• Supervise Subcontractors activities and ensure proper reporting to maintain proper compliance and communication •Responsible for managing and maintaining the network aspect of the Ottawa Light Rail Transit (OLRT) Infrastructure Operations • Oversee systems including Avaya Switches, Communications Based Train Control (CBTC), ATS systems, and subsystems such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Closed- Circuit Television (CCTV), HSDR, Symmetry IAC / Card Readers, Guideway Intrusion Detection System (GID), Public Announcement and Passenger Information Display (PAPID), Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) / Voice over IT (VoIP) Telephones, IP Cameras, Indigo Vision, Wayside Signaling Systems/Radio Units, and multiple interconnected Virtual Local Access Networks (VLANs) /VPN/LAN/ WAN. • Ensure proper functioning of signaling and telecommunications systems for efficient operation of the transit network. • Monitor and resolve network performance issues and outages using appropriate tools. • Perform regular service and inspection activities on commissioning and maintenance of various systems and subsystems. • Test and verify the correct operation of Signal & Communications (S&C) systems and equipment on assigned territory. • Coordinate with different stakeholders such as OLRT, Thales, RTM, Willowglen for warranty support to resolve work orders. • Continuously improve signaling & communication best practices to complete work orders in a timely manner. • Adhere to strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and company policies.
