Delivery Manager, Craigentinny Railway Depot Upgrade, January 2017 - Present -On-site Project Manager, coordinating the interface between the construction works required for Hitachi to facilitate the introduction of Hitachi's Class 385 trains for Scotrail and the Virgin Trains East Coast depot operations. Project Manager, South West Trains Decked Car Park Project, March 2015 - February 2017 -Managed from procurement, through design, delivery and close out of SWT's project to provide 1,400 car parking spaces across eight station locations.
• Main contact for daily management nine renewals and enhancements projects within the Wessex Outer Buildings & Civils Portfolio. • Support projects from option selection through design to delivery and close out. • Current project portfolio of c. £7m includes: - Cranbrook New Station. - Cannon Court and Bridge Road Underbridge Replacements. - Brockenhurst Underbridge Strengthening and Repair. - Sway Station platform repairs. • Familiar with Network Rail’s safety management processes, having undertaken site inspections, as well as reviews of CPPs and WPPs. • Implement environmental procedures, delivering projects in a SSSI and residential areas. • Familiar with commercial and reporting procedures through monthly updates on time and cost, using Oracle Projects. • Support projects throughout lifecycle and developed a clear understanding of the GRIP and AMP processes for each stage.
• Provide an internal consultancy service to project teams, analysing a project’s ability to deliver on its time, cost and quality commitments. • Experience of identification, analysis and formulating risk management plans, looking at risk treatment and fallback strategies. • Familiar with the commercial and schedule risks associated with project delivery and programme management. • Competent user of risk management software, including Pertmaster and Active Risk Manager (ARM).
• Contributed to the management of internal and external communications as part of a small team, taking responsibility for media enquiries and stakeholder engagement • Wrote press releases and patient literature as well as representing the NHS at public relations events. • Involved in upgrading the NHS Warwickshire website, improving the layout and writing new copy.
