Report to the Great China President and the Group Supply Director -Run China manufacturing company including EHS, production, planning, Engineering and design, Quality, Purchasing, equipment. -Make the annual business plan. -Make the quality strategy. -Make the EHS policy and strategy as the Company EHS committee chairman. -Develop the medium term development strategy for the manufacturing. -Approve the CAPEX spending. -Manage the inventory for the raw material. -Manage the purchasing and supply chain including the global souring. -Manage the product introduction from oversees plant. -Responsible for the people recruitment, appraisal and development. -Develop and appraise the performance metrics for the whole department. -Equipment maintenance and purchasing. -Push for the lean production and continuous improvement.
-Lead daily operation through production and material planning, workshop management, inventory control, engineering management etc. -Develop the working procedure for the production planning, purchasing and inventory control, and process control. -Establish lean production, Kanban and visual management system. -Lead the project team including engineering, sourcing, material purchasing and quality control to implement the local manufacturing project covering both machining and assembly. -Make the annual budget. -Responsible for engineering department including machining, assemble, testing, precision machining and painting. -Responsible for the people staffing, annual appraisal and people development. -Lead ERP project for the steam manufacturing unit. .
Develop the casting/machining,stamping sourcing strategy in China. Lead the sourcing project in line with APQP. Production part approval(PPAP) Conduct supplier quality system and Process audit in line with TS 16949. Set up the logistic system between supplier and Cummins’ plant by using EDI, SMI (supplier manage inventory) etc. Improve the supplier delivery and quality performance through 6 Sigma project
Organize daily production. Accountable for localization manufacturing project through machine tool selection, cutting tool selection, fixture design, testing equipment making, assembly process flow etc. Manage warehouse and goods shipping(1998-2000) Lead the project team to achieve ISO 9000 certificate.
