As Advisor to the Finance Minister and as the first Chief Economic Advisor to the Bahrain Government work included establishment of its Economic Development Board, leading creation of its economic and industrial strategy, drafting Economic Vision 2030, managing work on education, labour market and government reforms and conceptualisation and contribution to large, multibillion-dollar projects in sectors such as healthcare and specific developments such as the Financial Harbour, the centrepiece of what is still the largest financial sector in Middle East. Global experience over entire career in more than fifty countries. This includes work with ten governments, numerous national enterprises and organisations, major corporations (such as L’Oréal, Shell, Suez, Perrier, Volvo and Rolls Royce Aerospace), and most national and global development banks (such as German KfW, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and World Bank/IFC).
