Y1 medical student at University College London. Currently, I am interested in the neuroscience of pain and consciousness, psychiatry and increasingly, computational biology.
Working in the Medawar pain lab under the supervision of Prof. Sandrine Geranton on pain epigenetics in mouse models.
• Participated as one of 4 medical students in a selective program at Shionogi Europe. • Engaged in workshops covering clinician-pharmaceutical roles, Drug Discovery, CMC, Japanese culture and CV building • Gained insights into the intersection of clinical practice and pharmaceutical innovation, preparing for future career opportunities.
A competitive Y1/Y2 Research mentorship scheme covering weekly research tutorials, a funded basic science research project, an introduction to the MBPhD journal club and a seperate pharmaceutical mentorship with Shionogi and Co.
Undertook a 4 week mentorship programme with 4 other students regarding an introduction into neurology with Dr. Arshia Seddigh. The programme covered logical reasoning in clinical neurology, training pathways and CV tailoring for neurology
Spent a week observing cath lab procedures, clinics, CPET and synchronised cardioversion of patients with ACHD.
