Designed and developed a real-time people counting and monitoring system using YOLOv5, DeepSORT, and Tkinter, tailored for crowd analytics and smart surveillance. The application supports dynamic ROI selection, manual in/out line drawing, and line-crossing logic for accurate entry/exit tracking using visual analytics . Integrated a real-time dashboard that displays in/out counts, occupancy status, and peak traffic trends via live bar and line graphs. Final integration with AWS (S3) enabled secure logging of each event—capturing timestamp, image snapshot, entry/exit action, and location metadata—for real-time monitoring and scalable backend reporting.
As part of my internship, I led a computer vision and data engineering project that aimed to automate the extraction of profit and loss values from images. By utilizing Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, I developed a solution that accurately captured financial data and stored it in a database. Additionally, I implemented data visualization tools such as Redash to provide insightful visual representations of the extracted data.
