I am currently pursuing an MSc in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Queen’s University Belfast, building on a strong foundation in Computer Science and machine learning systems. My work focuses on applied machine learning, not just using models, but understanding how they work, implementing them from scratch, and evaluating them critically. I have built and compared algorithms including K-Nearest Neighbours, Decision Trees, Support Vector Machines, and AdaBoost, and developed a Python-based GUI to support structured model evaluation and comparison. More recently, I have worked on image classification using handcrafted features such as SIFT and ORB, implementing Bag-of-Words and Fisher Vector pipelines to analyse performance trade-offs. I am particularly interested in building robust, real-world AI systems, with attention to model performance, evaluation methodology, and practical deployment considerations. My goal is to become an Applied Data Scientist, working on problems where data, modelling, and engineering come together to create measurable impact.
Retained via TUPE transfer to ensure service continuity at Heathrow Airport following Global Exchange’s successful acquisition of the airport’s currency exchange contract from Travelex. Delivering high-volume foreign exchange services to a global passenger base, ensuring 100% compliance with AML and financial regulations. Providing consistent, high-level operational support during the contract live phase, maintaining individual sales KPIs and transaction accuracy.
Provide ongoing IT support for two local convenience businesses, ensuring reliable daily operations. Installed, configured, and maintained Wi-Fi networks, CCTV systems, and commercial hardware (e.g., lottery terminals, bus pass machines). Delivered cable management and hardware setup to improve system performance and reduce downtime. Act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues quickly and effectively.
Handle cash and currency exchange transactions with accuracy and efficiency. Number one ranked across all KPI across all terminals in my first year, driven by strong sales conversion, customer engagement, and product knowledge. Continued to perform as one of the highest-ranking consultants thereafter. Managed large cash volumes with strict accuracy, adhered to financial compliance procedures, and consistently delivered high customer satisfaction.
