I am currently pursuing an MSc in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Queen’s University Belfast, building on a strong foundation in Computer Science and machine learning systems. My work focuses on applied machine learning, not just using models, but understanding how they work, implementing them from scratch, and evaluating them critically. I have built and compared algorithms including K-Nearest Neighbours, Decision Trees, Support Vector Machines, and AdaBoost, and developed a Python-based GUI to support structured model evaluation and comparison. More recently, I have worked on image classification using handcrafted features such as SIFT and ORB, implementing Bag-of-Words and Fisher Vector pipelines to analyse performance trade-offs. I am particularly interested in building robust, real-world AI systems, with attention to model performance, evaluation methodology, and practical deployment considerations. My goal is to become an Applied Data Scientist, working on problems where data, modelling, and engineering come together to create measurable impact.
